Videsha Balakaya was established 10 years ago in Sri Lanka as an organization focusing on the well-being and human rights of people who work abroad and ensuring their well-being and their families in Sri Lanka. The organization is committed to promoting, educating, and protecting its members’ interests, welfare, rights, and privileges while empowering and supporting them with their life abroad and their families in Sri Lanka.
Videsha Balakaya is dedicated to identifying the root cause of problems for individuals who work aboard and their families in Sri Lanka, addressing the issues, human rights, and providing social services and educational services.
We address these challenges and barriers by providing education, necessary services, focus groups, training, awareness campaigns, and directly addressing their needs individually.
We also support/educate and help families of an individual who is abroad while ensuring the safety, human rights, and well-being of their children.
